Third Coast Capital Advisors represented The HallStar Company, a Chicago-based specialty chemical company, in its acquisition of the Florasolvs® natural esters product line from FloraTech, a provider of botanically-derived personal care ingredients. Our Strategic Acquisition Search and Advisory Services included making contact with the target and starting a strategic dialog with its owners, as well as providing assistance on valuation, transaction structure and the negotiation and closing of the transaction.

This acquisition represents the third transaction that we have completed for The HallStar Company and follows two other transactions in the natural personal care ingredients market. Previously, the company acquired Italy-based B&T Company, a worldwide leader in olive-based performance ingredients for use in personal care products, and BioChemica International, a leading developer of exotic butters and oils.

This transaction is another good example of our ability to identify and execute proprietary, strategic add-on acquisitions for corporate buyers as well as help navigate our client through the challenges of a product line carve-out transaction.
